The month was between the first and third of the autumn when Jethro was playing in the other children under the trees, it was quite warm and the leaves wore the orange colour that he valued so high. But the happiness and joy came to a sudden end when a storm brewed and the anxious parents took their sons and daughters home. As the sky turned grey and the wind was howling the supper was disturbed by a heavy knock on the door followed with an even heavier bash of the door. The guards threw down his mother and seized his father, the children stood there and just watch this horrifying scene. The door was lying on the ground but that didn’t hinder the old chief of guards from knocking gently on it. As he knocked the door he saw that the said door once were made of oak but torn by the tooth of time and patched by the father of the half demon children farther down the hall and now there was more leather and cloth than wood. But that didn’t concern him at this time, his only objective was to raid the house of a demon and that proved rather easy. The older son felt like his whole soul was poured down the drain and when he tried to think there were no thoughts the only thing in his heart was hatred and eagerness to avenge this sin. But that was to be a hard task since these guards shoved no mercy and the poor boy wondered whom would order the spine of the society to do this to one of its’ own members. At this time he knew of no difference between a full and a half-breed like him self but “mere knowledge would heal no wound” was the words of a wise man.
His mother committed suicide, which is also a sin (In Christianity) but the worse sin dwelling upon this family was still their ancestry, too horrible to mention, too obvious to disguise, so there the poor children was without parents and without a society around them, they spent their time in the city stealing for the living, but one of them got caught and never returned from where ever he was sent, if he was sent at all...
After a few years the older son managed to by sheer will breach the growing cycle of his horns, something he was said the demons did when they came down(up?) to the earth and when his horns wasn't growing he started to carve them and eventually he had almost no horns at all and with a chain helmet on them they were like gone, to be sure he moved to another city and as a newcomer he just wanted to fit in the society and not make a scene that could tell him apart from the humans, He signed up for the militia and there he came under the command of...
Captain John Smith of the 5th scouting company. Jethro never meet a man with such an unusual aura and high intellect. Captain Smith was not the most charismatic man around, neither the strongest, but somehow everyone in his company showed him deep respect and would follow him into the depths of hell. The company was known for their stealth skills and helped to establish the militia in the Scottish highlands. Through training and accomplished missions, Jethro quickly rose in the hierarchy and was soon promoted to the rank of a 1st Lieutenant. The respect of the comrades and Captain brought a long lost smile on Jethro's face. One could say, he began to make peace with his cursed appearance and life until a certain event took place.
In the middle of a spying mission Jethro and several members of the 5th scouting company were discovered and had to fight their way through a grey dwarf outpost, deep in the mountains. Jethro and the others fought desperately and as the battle hit a critical point his horns came through and brought out his demonic agility. No dwarf survived this day and Jethro became feared ..., like a monster ..., just like in his past.
Even prayers to his god didn't changed the relationship in the company and day after day he became more isolated. Only one man didn't feared him like the others, Captain John Smith. In the following months Jethro's talents were trained further and pleased the Captain. John Smith gave him personal lessons, talked with him like to a normal human being. In Jethro's mind he became the only person, who ever cared for him, his life and future. The respect and admiration for the Captain grow and soon changed into idolization.
The wind blow terrible that night, the moon was nowhere in sight and a praying Jethro was the only officer awake as a slight scream was heard, at least he thought so. The voice of this man was familiar to him and so he grabbed his Rapier to check the situation even through no one else seemed to care. As he found the person a dagger could be seen in the soldiers neck and blood ..., it was everywhere. He took a breather and silently went around the corner into the room ahead. He saw even more dead people ..., every high ranked officer except one person ... "Captain Smith? Thank god, you are alive." He stepped closer and wanted to check his Captain as he saw the blood dropping of John Smiths signature Short Sword. The Captain began to speak in a cold voice: "The week always perish Jethro, always ... remember what I tried to teach you in all these months of training ..." Jethro wanted to raise his Rapier but couldn't, his idol and only friend, standing in front of him, killing his comrades and not even having the slightest problem with these actions. "Jethro, if I didn't do it someone else would have done it. The militia and especially it's leaders were a thorn in the eyes of many feudal lords." Still shaking inside Jethro could bring out a "... why ..." A dark grin could be seen now on John Smiths face. "The good payment my friend and now get yourself together. We will need to hurry out of here. We are the only surviving officers, that wont do good if we get caught." Jethro tried to pull himself together and realized that the words of his Captain were the truth. He had no choice if he wanted to live and he loved life ... So Jethro ran into his room took his valuables and followed John through passages he never noticed before.
A few days later he found himself at his former Captains side in London. The man he once new as Captain John Smith was in reality Vergil an elite deciple of the Brotherhood of Shadows. A secret underground organization only known through rumors. Vergil knew Jethro would never talk about him openly and his secrets. Together with the impressive stealth skills Vergil thought about bringing this man into the Brotherhood. Jethro, without a family, a home and framed as a murderer took the opportunity as Vergil asked him if he wanted to join. However, he made it under the condition of finally knowing the truth about Vergil and being something like his partner. Vergil agreed and as both ventured though a dark cavesystem, made by the Brotherhood under the city of London, his former Captain began to speak about his past. "I'm from an old family having ancestors like you, my silver hair still shows these connection, as does my supernatural abilities ..." As they went on Jethro learned that every 1st son of Vergil's family was sent to the Brotherhood as a child to receive special training. All for the purpose of bringing out a possible strong leader. Jethro further heard that Vergil would soon be a new Grandmaster Assassin and lead the Brotherhood in a part of Europe. As Vergil stopped to talk and got his trademark evil grin on his face Jethro looked at the giant door in front of him. "Well, we are finally there my friend, your new live begins today." With these words of Vergil both entered ... After years of training and hundreds of missions Jethro became the personal Assassin of Vergil, who was promoted to the Grandmaster rank recently.
Jethro, now like a second shadow of his master, finally knows were he belongs, finally sees what he will be doing in the future, was asleep on a sunny day. As he dreamed about his past, Vergil woke him up. The ship they traveled on sighted Weatherdale, a city in northern Europe and current goal of both Brotherhood members. "We are finally here my friend, we will make history in the name of the Brotherhood" *evil grin* Jethro just nodded and had a dark smile on his face*
OOC: So, what you think, the first version I came up with ...

OOC: Thanks, so it was actually quite ok.
Well, besides your spider I also still need a point were I got my 1 level of Wizard (usually an Assassin would learn True Strike, Sleep etc. in his Spellbook but as it isn't there ...). However besides the ypos you corrected there are also still some bad word usages, I try to edit this. |

don't bother if I can't find it no one can, just ignore the fact it is a level of wizard just RP it as a level of assassin I don't think no one will mind or notice |

Or just have it as part of your heritage... even if it's a lv of wizard, it may still be played as a race ability |

Mmh ..., maybe I just let it be part of his Assassin training as a child when a DM might ask. Also when we get an Assassin spellbook, like they have in a future patch or Add On, I will anyway ask to delevel my 20 level to 19 and just take Assa or a Rogue level to reach 20. |

He he lol, yeah will consider this as my 2nd Warlock level will most likly be useless with darkness (nothing else is good as I have leaps already). However it would reduce my overall HP a bit and BAB, but I get a few true Strikes per day ... So I think I take one lvl of Wiz. Btw, would be cool if you meet the spider somewere in your Brotherhood training. It would fit nicely, but of course if you have a better idea.
